'Justify
My Love' was the first single from the
The
Immaculate Collection-compilation album.
The
song was co-written and produced by rock-star
Lenny Kravitz - still very much unknown to
the masses at the time of its release.
'Justify My Love' is without a question
best-known for its steamy and controversial
video
which was banned by most TV stations in the
early '90s. Warner Bros. and Madonna released
the video as a video single later on - to
capitalize on the controversy - with the video
single ending up as the best-selling video
single of all time! |

|
| Lenny
also served as the producer for the 'The
Best Within'-remix of 'Justify My Love'.
The track uses the chorus of the song plus
several Biblical
verses (from Revelation). The remix is
widely considered as one of the best remixes
by Madonna. In fact it is considered by most
fans as a track on its own with Madonna performing
the song on two of her tours: The
Girlie Show and the re-Invention
World Tour. |
